What should I do if I notice damage upon arrival?
Please check the accommodation as soon as you arrive. If you notice any damage or defects, report this directly to the owner/manager. If possible, include photos. This ensures the damage will not be attributed to you and allows for prompt action.
What happens if the damage exceeds the Damage Fund coverage?
If the damage exceeds the coverage of the Damage Fund, the owner may charge the additional costs to you. This will always be discussed with you and recorded carefully to avoid any misunderstandings.
What is not covered by the Damage Fund?
The Damage Fund does not cover: • Intentional damage • Damage caused by gross negligence (e.g. damage due to irresponsible or careless use) • Damage exceeding €250 In these cases, the owner or property manager may charge the costs to you.
What is the damagefund?
At Sun & Sea Holidays, we work with a damage fund instead of a traditional security deposit. This means you do not need to pay a high deposit, but instead a small fixed fee per reservation.
Can I add extras to my booking later?
Yes, in many cases you can add extras after making your reservation. You can do this via my Sun&Sea Account.
What are the mandatory costs?
For most accommodations, in addition to the rental price, you will also pay mandatory costs such as final cleaning, bed linen, tourist tax, and damage deposit.
