Cancellation Costs and Handling of Cancellations

Cancellation Costs and Handling of Cancellations

This article explains how cancellation costs are applied and how the process is handled when a guest cancels a reservation.

Cancellation costs

When a guest cancels a reservation, cancellation costs may be charged. The amount depends on the cancellation date and is determined according to the applicable cancellation policy.

Who pays the cancellation costs?

The cancellation costs are charged to the guest. The amount is deducted from the total travel sum paid by the guest.

Payment to the owner

As the owner, you only receive a payment if cancellation costs have been collected. Sun & Sea Holidays does not pay a reimbursement if no income has been received from the cancellation.

Calculation of the reimbursement

The reimbursement to the owner is calculated on the part of the cancellation costs that relates to the rental amount. Any costs not included in the rental amount are not taken into account in the payment.

Commission on cancellations

Sun & Sea Holidays only charges commission on the part of the cancellation costs that is paid out to the owner. If you do not receive a reimbursement, no commission will be charged.

Processing

Once the cancellation has been processed, any cancellation costs will be shown on the rental statement. You will see the amount collected and the part paid out to you.
