Safety requirements for your accommodation
Guest safety is a top priority. We kindly request all property owners to ensure that a number of basic safety items are available in the accommodation. These contribute to a safe stay and are often required by local regulations or booking platforms.
Minimum safety requirements
• Working smoke detector(s)
• Carbon monoxide detector when gas, fireplace or fuel-burning appliances are present
• Fire extinguisher or fire spray
• Fire blanket in the kitchen
• First aid kit
• Outdoor lighting at the entrance
• Safety instructions visible or available digitally
Recommended additional safety measures
• Child safety (e.g. stair gate, socket protection)
• Emergency numbers and house rules in multiple languages
• Escape route information
• Safety certification where applicable
Inspection and maintenance
We recommend checking all safety equipment annually and replacing items when necessary.
