When you use the services of Sun & Sea Holidays, service fees may apply.
Whether and how these service fees are charged depends on the selected subscription and the rental channel used.

In this article, we explain when service fees apply, to whom they are charged, what they are calculated on, and how they are shown in the rental settlement.

When do service fees apply?

The application of service fees varies by subscription and rental channel.

Zorgeloos Adverteren

• Direct bookings via the Sun & Sea Holidays website
  For direct bookings, no service fees are charged to the owner.
  Any service fees applicable to direct bookings are charged directly to the guest and form part of the reservation via the Sun & Sea Holidays website.
  These service fees do not affect the net rental amount paid out to the owner.

• Bookings via external rental platforms
  For bookings via external rental platforms, a service fee may apply for the processing and handling of the reservation, in accordance with the terms of Zorgeloos Adverteren.

Zorgeloos Verhuren

For the Zorgeloos Verhuren subscription, service fees apply to bookings in accordance with the conditions of the selected package.
These service fees cover, among other things, full rental management, including guest communication, reservation management and administrative processing.

What are service fees calculated on?

Where applicable, service fees are calculated on the net rental amount of the booking.

Service fees are not calculated on additional costs such as:

• final cleaning;

• bed linen;

• tourist tax;

• other pass-through costs,
  unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

Amount of the service fees

The amount and application of service fees depend on:

• the selected subscription (Zorgeloos Adverteren or Zorgeloos Verhuren);

• the rental channel used (direct booking or external rental platform).

Upon registration, you will receive an overview of the applicable service fees per package.

External rental platforms (OTAs)

For bookings via external rental platforms, platform commissions or other costs may apply as imposed by the relevant platform.

These costs:

• are deducted by the rental platform before the rental amount is paid out;

• are visible in the booking overview as part of the net rental amount;

• are beyond the control of Sun & Sea Holidays.

The net rental amount paid out by the platform forms the basis for settlement with the owner.

Processing in the rental settlement

Any applicable service fees are clearly and separately shown in the rental settlement.

The settlement specifies:

• the booking to which the service fees relate;

• the amount of service fees applied;

• whether the service fees were charged to the guest or to the owner.

This ensures full transparency regarding the composition of your revenues.

Cancellations

Service fees are charged only if and insofar as actual revenue is received from a booking or cancellation, unless the selected subscription provides otherwise.
