Configuring Base Rates, Weekend Pricing & Discounts

Base Rates

Base rates are the standard prices and conditions that apply to your accommodation when no seasonal rates, promotions, or discounts are active.
Sun & Sea Holidays works with nightly rates, in accordance with the requirements of the connected booking platforms.

Setting Nightly Rates

  • Base Night: the standard rate that applies to all nights where no other pricing rules are active.

  • Weekend Night: a different rate for Friday and Saturday nights, often higher due to increased demand during weekends.

Guest Settings

  • Number of Guests: set the maximum number of guests allowed at the standard rate.

  • Extra Guest Fee: if you offer additional sleeping places, you may set a surcharge per extra guest per night.
    Note: this amount remains the same, even when seasonal pricing is applied.

Important: make sure that the maximum number of guests matches the number of available sleeping places. A higher guest count without sufficient beds may result in cancellations or complaints.

Length of Stay Settings

  • Minimum Stay: the minimum number of nights a guest must book during regular periods. This value can be adjusted per season.

Check-in & Check-out Settings

  • Arrival and Departure Days: specify which days of the week guests can arrive or depart. These settings can be adjusted per season or promotional period.

⚠️ Please note: strict check-in and check-out days can reduce the visibility of your accommodation on booking platforms.

Applying Discounts

In addition to the base rates, you can set up discounts to increase occupancy.

Types of discounts:

  • Early Bird Discount: for guests who book well in advance.

  • Last-Minute Discount: for bookings made shortly before arrival.

  • Long-Stay Discount: for guests staying multiple nights or weeks.

  • Promotional Discount: temporary discount you can offer to encourage more bookings (e.g., 10% discount during a low-season period).

At the Start

When onboarding, we kindly ask you to provide the complete pricing list, including:

  • Base rates (base night and weekend night)

  • Guest settings (maximum occupancy and extra guest fees)

  • Minimum stay and arrival/departure days

  • Discounts you wish to offer

We will ensure that your accommodation is set up optimally from the beginning and is highly visible on our websites and all booking platforms.
